Yes. Go to the guy in cottonwood cove that you can teach about ncr mines. Tell him about them 60 times (the option never goes away) to become idolised. Then go talk to Caesar and leave the fort. A legion spy will tell you about some boxes. You can check the boxes every 3 days to get shitons of ammo, legion coins, stimpacs and stealth boys. Being idolized makes more boxes appear. You can kill the legion and become disliked afterwards and they'll still restock the boxes for you, because they're morons.

I played through this game a lot back in high school and every time he ran up to me, I'd just shoot him in the face and got out of Nipton basically immediately after that. Again, I did this every fucking playthrough of this game. About a year ago I decided to do another hardcore playthrough and actually decided for once to not only let him live but I also wanted to actually explore Nipton. To my delight, I bagged a lot of good loot from the multiple houses. So to skim over some details, I eventually learned what the legion had done there and the value of those lottery tickets. That glasses wearing, annoying piece of human feces had won his life and I always took that from him seconds after that.
