In my experience Japanese stuff does not work well with W10, you need an artificial system locale (emulator) to set it in Japanese seeing as it no longer allows you to do it from the control panel. Then you have to hope the game itself is compatible with W10 infrastructure.

This is absolutely wrong. The Control Panel you know still exists. Hold Windows key + X and then click Control Panel. To change to Japanese locale, you just go to Region -> Change location -> Administrative -> Change system locale. It's even easier now because you don't need a separate program.

There are some parts of the bundled malware that cannot be disabled by anything user accessible. Its built into the kernel, the lowest level of the OS. Even if you don't care about the data leaking out some of the things in the kernel that allow data in should be of concern since a 3rd party firewall running on the system won't be able to block them.
Microsoft's forced auto updates from 7 to 10 were just the first step. 10 is intended to be an always up to date rolling release.

They want to know every search you perform so they can sell that information to advertisers and then show you ads in the Windows UI.
More importantly they want your system on 10 so they can push out updates to you at any time so for instance when they decide that online gaming through the Windows Store should now require a Live subscription they can just go ahead and do that without a chance of users avoiding it by staying on an older version.
