It was decent. It could have been better and had more stuff, but it wasn't a snooze-fest. The game felt padded out with the collectibles shit (just like GTA), and it would have been nice to have more stuff to do involving the organised crime world.

The opening was cool when you kungfu'd dudes but the gun play was not that fun and the end of the game was all races and gun fights. Still was a good game glad I played it.

The commercials were fucking awful.

Then in reality, the graphics are fucking beautiful (at least on PC) and they just happened to pick that awkward line out of the hours and hours of dialogue, which wasn't even a bad line when in context. Also, it didn't even really show melee combat and the game advertised itself as a weak GTA clone. I bought the game years later and I loved it.

Personally I never really felt too attached to it. It's a nice game, no question, but it just sort of feels a bit mediocre to me. Like nothing(well, expect the atmosphere) really stands out.
I put Saints Row 3 over 2 simply because when it comes down to it I've played 3 far more. Mostly just down to the shitty port, and SR3 just plays a lot better.
