inb4 >indie

La-Mulana is my favorite but I know it isn't the majorities'
>>341569291
Probably this
Bastion
or
Steamworld Dig
>>341569220
Metal Gear Solid 4.
Probably Hotline Miami. Goddamn that music is fantastic.
Otherwise LISA, Undertale, and Stardew Valley were pretty great.
>>341569220
Probably Starsector.
>tfw you'll live long enough to see Industry implemented
Undertale
Cave Story.
Bastion, Spelunky, Undertale and Binding of Isaac are also pretty up there.
Hotline Miami
Cave Story
Yume Nikki
These three are some of the best experiences I've had when it comes to games in general, to be honest.
Lone Survivor will always be my favourite.
Hearing this was magical the first time

Everyone should check it out if they're even remotely interested. I loved it.
to all the Cave Story fags: Have any of you tried Kero Blaster? How is it?

It's alright, it's a fun sidescroller. I think Pixel made it just for experience before Nicalis makes him do a sequel to Cave Story.

Either LISA / Cave Story / Nuclear Throne.
The best

I never really got why so many people love Yume Nikki. I remember the few times I loaded it up and got bored with it.
Maybe my autistic brain cant comprehend it.

liking the steamworld games right now, and unravel.
both comfy as fuck
Awesomenauts.
And by favorite I mean how often I play it, not how much I like it.

I think it is safe to say that Yume Nikki is not for everyone. The amount of patience needed to collect all the effects can be quite a chore sometimes, and this is coming from someone who frequently enjoys mindlessly wandering through blank spaces.

Its an highly experimental game that completely relies on its atmosphere. It has pretty much zero mass appeal. But definitely packs one of the most unique and interesting concepts in gaming.
Even with the many fan creations, there just isn't anything quite like Yume Nikki.

>no Terraria itt yet
faggots
>>341569220
Worms Armageddon
Half minute Hero: Super mega neo-climax whatever
Dustforce by a wide margin.

This. Also Axiom Verge is pretty awesome.
Don't Starve/Don't Starve together.
Put way too much of my life into both games, and I regret nothing.
Nuclear throne is also 10/10. Eyes mah boi.

Terraria is so much more amazing than I ever thought it could be
Truly worth the purchase even many years after it's initial release
Transcendence
Nuclear Throne
Supermeatboy
Crypt of the Necrodancer
Hotline Miami 1
Isaac Rebirth
Binding of Isaac (pick any version, they're all great) has been my most returned to indie game, but Hotline Miami was a dope first playthrough experience. Music was fantastic.

Cave Story, then Hotline Miami as a second, and maybe Yume Nikki as a third.

I want to say Isaac too, but Edmund's shittery is preventing me from loving it more than Terraria.
