The latest trailer looked really interesting.
I hear Cage only wrote the first draft and there's other people writing it so it should be better.
I like the occasional movie non-game and this one, if that new trailer is anything to go by, will be really great and have a ton of rewatchability. I'll be picking it up after I read reviews to make sure Cage didn't get involved in the ending and adding native american ghost curses or some shit.

I never played Indigo Prophecy or Ellen Page's Bizarre Adventure, but I unapologetically loved Heavy Rain. A lot of that enjoyment is definitely ironic in that "so bad that it's good" sense (that fucking omnipresent piano music, the killer reveal, the overacting and underacting, all the dumbass tasks like performing a long QTE to climb a hill, etc) but the sheer amount of outcomes to individual scenarios or character endings is pretty impressive, especially compared to how limited similar modern games like Telltale or Life Is Strange are. Honestly if this game dials back on Cage's bullshit it could deliver on everything that LA Noire failed at doing. I'll still wait to see how it gets fucked up, but I'll be cautiously optimistic

Indigo Prophecy was bullshit. Heavy Rain, though, was actually good. It was heavy-handed as fuck, but I enjoyed playing through the game and then talking to friends to hear about how they played through it.

David Cage is a lot of things, but under his supervision they did do a game with real branching paths, unlike The Walking Dead, Mass Effect, Life is Strange, etc.
If he did a grounded detective story it would be fun, but he can't remain grounded for that long, so there'll be ancient aliens or some equivalent.

I think he was asked so many times to work out that concept and how much it had impacted the viewers with the voice acting and music so he decided to write a story around it
Or maybe Kara was just another one of those robots and the story was around something else connecting to that universe
Anyway I didn't like the fact that the game features an exact copy of Norman Jayden but with ARI inside him instead of an external tool
