I got bored in the beta.
The game has some really cool characters. That's not enough to carry 5 maps, no custom servers, and no skill ceiling though.

Like I said, the game has a lot of potential. But at this point I can't see myself spending any money on it. It needs more content, better maps, and an actual skill ceiling that doesn't just boil down to, "I know what my abilities are."

Played quite a bit. Then started getting horrible teams just going for kills when I was trying to do the objective.
Then it was taking forever to join games for me.

I don't really have friends who have this game so I play on my own. Enough to get a loot box a day satisfies me. I don't plan on ever buying loot boxes, makes the rewards much sweeter.

King of the hill is literally the only enjoyable game mode for me right now. Its by far the best for the lower tier characters to do better and I hate how every attack and defend map revolves around a chokepoint where if the defending team wipes the other team just immediately gets the objective. King of the hill seems to have much more back and forth in comparison.
Would get it if Blizzard wasn't charging a fucking arm and a leg for it.

I'm not really sure about this game's potential lifespan, when I played the beta it really felt like I had seen everything it had to offer, no interesting mechanics or a cool skill ceiling to achieve, it just felt like a game you'd play for a month or two and then just go back to it like once or twice a week to feel like you didn't waste your money.
My guess is that in 2 months the playerbase will start to slowly decline until we reach Xmas season and then it will go back down to a decent few millions and then surge back up for a few weeks whenever there's a patch.
It would be better if every hero had the depth of genji or junkrat, but so many heroes just feel like they exist to be played to a very very low skill cap just to fill a certain team role, and excellent players arent really rewarded for playing them. Especially healers and tanks.

Kind of but it's not really the game faults per se. It's more about always getting paired with literal retards, and people using the "lel so random same hero team". I think a lot of people are bored with the game and now only want to screw around doing stuff they think is funny instead of playing the game as it was meant. This is destroying my fun greatly and so I will wait until ranked gets released and hope it changes things.

I'm probably a shitter but I'm going to say Junkrat does too much damage. While I'm not saying there aren't good Junkrats, he doesn't even have to really aim to be effective. Just spam grenades until you do enough splash damage for a tire.

Nothing feels too tedious yet, but its only been 27 hours so we'll see. It helps that Reinhardt is my spirit animal so every hour spent on him feels good and fun even when losing. Hell even the ones I thought wouldn't be that fun like lucio turned out great
