I mean, I disliked snowbound as much as the next guy, but at least Halo's veto system didn't lock you out from literally ever playing it ever. Variety is good, and even shit maps are good on occasion. It's better than all the modern games that instead implement a full on vote between like 6 maps, meaning you only ever play half a dozen ever.

I wish they kept the Veto system in Halo games past 3, it was the only way some unpopular but still fun maps and gamemodes got played.

Yes, it's playable once you get things set up the way you want. The most egregious thing I've noticed are issues with repeating sounds. Also, if you're on controller you can't exit vehicles, but most people play with mouse and keyboard. Aside from that, it's great. Their are even dedicated servers with voting systems implemented.

you can find a few different server browsers for HO. My favorite is called thefeeltrain. Friends list, party function with text chat, change the background and music to any halo game, so good.

I know I entered the thread late, but Valhalla 4v4 was pretty bad in all honesty, it got better when they made social slayer 5v5. With that said, I was always hesitant to veto anything other than Narrows and Isolation out of fear of getting one of those two, they were such shitty maps. But as long as I had a BR in my hand I could at least tolerate whatever map I had (save for fucking Isolation).
