Arkane devs also posted in here about plenty more details. Dishonored remained relatively good despite being changed, but still, Bethsoft always does that: they fucked CoC:DCotE, they fucked Prey, they fucked everything they touched.

Honestly, I doubt Bethesda the publisher is responsible for the few flaws in Dishonored. I would guess that was still Arkane's responsibility. If Bethesda was actually responsible for anything, the game would be way more trash than it was.

Bethesda publishes what they want to publish, like any publisher does. The dev essentially makes a game according to a contract established with the publisher, and devs have to bend over otherwise their game will never get out and they'll have to pay huge penalties.
Devs can't really do anything. If tomorrow Bethsoft decides Corvo is gay and Emily is a transgender, Arkane will have no other choice than to accept.
