you moved the camera up higher, thus further away from anything. Those trees are far below link, so the fog effect is already kicking in. You can see it in the above screenshot as well on the far mountains, and in real life as well when you look at distant things. Air gets in the way. And in games, it's helpful to over-exaggerate that effect for the sake of performance.
But the real answer is that the top image is from a promotional short video that wasn't in-engine and doesn't have to deal with all the actualities of being a playable game, whereas the lower one isn't.
