I haven't played mainline DW since 4 Empires (scratch that, I played the Vita one) but I really enjoyed Warriors Orochi 3 and all the One Piece PW games and I also really liked Toukiden. I think Berserk fits the Omega Force style really well as long as the content is true to the source.

Also I played that game, enemies take a few hits but it's not literally 24 seconds of a punching bag against an underleveled boss that doesn't really react.
The Berserk game webm shows enemies staggering hard before getting cut apart.
They just sort of flop in Berserk and most enemies don't react anyways.Just post better Vindictus webms, the boss one is a bad example of Guts simulating and even with Berserk and Zodd they have things to shift momentum in the fight

Depends on the work it is licensed after, mainline games like Dinasty Warriors have 86 playable characters at this point, but something like TROY had around 8 focused characters, and the first Fist of the North Star has around 10.
Fewer playable characters isn't necessarily worse per se, Musou games with a minimal cast tends to have more depth in each individual, as in they have bigger movesets.

I started when the game got announced and finished a few hours ago. Things get crazy fucked, but then comic relief/anti-edge characters start flooding in by the dozen.
Honestly, it felt more like I read three different manga. There was Golden Age and Guts' Journey, but then it suddenly became Dragon Warrior.I know it all ties into Guts' character progression, but the JRPG party setup still feels somewhat lame.
