Most Wild Arms titles are good.
People seem to think Wild Arms 1 & 3 overshadow it, but it really is a hidden, underrated gem of a game. Maybe it's just near and dear to my heart since I played it as a kid, but I'd personally recommend it for the atmosphere, story, and godlike OST. Gameplay and graphics can feel a little dated, but that happens with most games as time marches on.
Best game in the franchise. A lot of people go on and on about 3, but mostly because they haven't played 2. 2's got a far better story and better pacing than 3, and is just a 10/10 game in general.
It doesn't help that there's this popular misconception that the game has a bad translation. The translation is fine, you'll understand the story no problem. The problem stems from the rushjob that was the editting of the actual translation, so a lot of the dialogue comes across really clunky or sounding like it was written by someone that had English as a second language. This is compounded by the fact that two characters that show up often speak completely jibberish becausethey're aliensand people don't realize they spoke nonsense most of the time even in the Japanese release.
But yeah, there's really not a bad Wild Arms game except maybe 4, and that one is mostly just hopelessly mediocre more than it is a bad game.
Also Kanon is best Wild Arms waifu.

Not throughout the entire game, but there's some parts where the game gives you unclear or just plain wrong directions.
Then there's other things like awkward phrasing, spelling errors, and sometimes characters just spout word salad that borders on gibberish. There's a comedic relief duo that apparently spoke a bunch of puns in the Jap version and now they just speak complete nonsense. Which I guess works in the context of those characters but it's kinda awkward

Pretty good story and characters, each with its own power a bit like a super hero team. Can get pretty dark at points.
However the system is lackluster and the 3D graphics horrendous. I don't regret playing it back in the days, but I probably wouldn't be able to do it now.
