Basically they coded a neat little animation of the baton extending when you pull it out, but it resets after every swing and they didn't care to fix that or remove the animation altogether, because coding is haaaaard.

Actually having owned TWINE for PS1 I can tell you that the only thing technically impressive about that game is the wall textures.

Okay so after reading the manual this game seems pretty crazy. It's about a small isolated town that used to be prosperous due to an energy boom, but after that industry began to wane, so did the town. Your character is a journalist who used to live in that town until high school, after which you moved away for 20 years. By chance you happen to get assigned to work in a branch office in the town, and weird things begin to happen. Some sort of enemy force is invading, accidents start happening on the highways around the town and people start mutating as the invading force seems to spread like a virus. Your goal is to gather information and liberate buildings from mutants, but you can also become a mutant yourself, and your enemies will turn from the mutants to regular humans. You're free to tackle the game in any order you want and there's no intended flow to how the game plays out.
