Zelda BotW's sales numbers might amazing. The attach rate between the game and the console could something that every console holder should envy, but the problem is that with so few WiiU owners there is a ceiling to the total number of sales BotW can do. Even assuming the game will cause systems to move, it’s likely to be the worst-selling game in the existence of the series.
Imagine what would happen if one day everyone, with any high-definition console, could play BotW and have it look better than ever. Hell, have Nintendo go to Sony and Microsoft and start a bidding war for exclusive rights for the game, and just pocket the huge check that would result in Sony obviously winning.
When you have the best game in the business and nowhere to release it, it may be time to start looking outside of your own ecosystem.
If they want to release it on the most powerful system, they should partner with Microsoft for a release on Project Scorpio, due to its eight cores and 320+ bandwidth for superior speed and quality of pixels even compared to Sony's "Neo" system which is inferior in all ways. Overall the scale goes:

I find they're really fun, solid, consistent games.
The way they control feels fluid and natural. Most games by comparison have weird animations and a ton of bugs and glitches.
Also, the item system in Zelda is better than any game out there. You can do all kinds of shit like grappling, gliding, sailing, shooting arrows and blowing shit up with bombs, and so on and so forth. But the kicker is, it always feels right. Again, comparably most other games with items like that feel messy. They lack the tightness of control.
I also like the dungeons, overworlds, music and characters.
