Because Zelda started out as a series with great gameplay, and now decided to put it into a sandbox setting, while other games just went for the sandbox shit without good gameplay basics?
MGS is the only one that really had the chance - great gameplay, but in the end it lacked good set pieces or more memorable locations when it went sandbox in the last one. GTA, for all great fun I always had with it, wasn't even that amazing in terms of gameplay - just fun, since it did sandboxing really well.
Zelda just looks like the best mix of both. If they add nice towns, it'll be perfect.

I primarily play on PC, so I get all my shootan games there.
JRPG's however, are a genre that doesn't happen very often on PC, (though that's beginning to change) so the sony console has a tiny bit of draw based mostly on that one genre I rarely get to play but enjoy.
like if FFXV, Nier, and Star Ocean had PC ports announced, I'd laugh and say I will NEVER EVER buy a PS4, definitely not just buying a bloodborne machine.

For years we've gotten graphically amazing games that have played like shit.
Indie fucking games were released that were more fun and fulfilling than the super realistic, high budget AAA garbage we've been fed.
We're at the point where we fully understand that graphics mean jack shit now.
Art style and gameplay have become much more important. Fidelity and realism has been the goal of every damn developer for 10 years and it's been played out, especially when so much of what's actually important, gets compromised for higher graphics and better presentation.
That new God of War game is an example. Looks absolutely fucking amazing, stunning honestly. And then the gameplay kicks in, and you immediately feel that dread, that this game is going to be much more linear, limited cinematic bullshit than it will be gameplay.

It's never all in the same game or put to full use. Most things shown this year were really fucking commonplace and never putting the ideas to full use. The amount of freedom you have to combine all these items and the Sheika powers to solve problems are not a industry staple.
