I bought the first one and actually liked it. It was pretty fun building a good defense set up and rolling in with golems and shit. The only thing I regret is getting it on PS4 instead of PC due to frame rate drops that were pretty widespread.

I think it's less about the cast and more about the logic behind cases. 4-3 is pretty much the most retarded case in the entire series, and the fifth game has way too much handholding. But apparently AA6 is as good as the trilogy games in that regard.
