I'm about 1/3rd into it.
Its fun. Not as good as Bloodborne, but much better than 2. About on par with 1 so far, but as another anon said its very linear so far. I'm not feeling the amazing level design that Bloodborne had, which was basically shortcut porn.
Bosses are very easy but still fun so far.

beat the game 4 times for all the endings, but I can without a doubt say that this is the worst souls game.

It's not very hard to tell why it's bad. The world design is terrible, even worse than DS2 because even though DS2 was retarded with how it connected areas, at the very least it gave you options on how to tackle areas and allowed for decent sequence breaking. The encounter and enemy designs are even worse. Your speed is about the same as it is in other Souls games but the enemies are Bloodborne-tier of fast and aggressive making your character feel really underpowered. Combined with a lack of poise though that means the best option for most encounters is to just kill enemies before they get any attacks in instead of the methodical observing, dodging and countering of previous games. Then the game just throws endless groups of trash mobs at you desperately hoping it makes for good encounters, but it just ends up being very samey and dull. The build variety is bad too where everything but a straight sword build feels like you're gimping yourself for no reason. Game's shit.

Waiting for DLC to make a final conclusion on it. At the moment it's the worst souls for me, even though it's not a bad game.
It has lots of problems:
>Linear
>Roll spamming is possible
>Estus is as powerful as in DS1 if not more so (you can have 10 estus before Watchers)
>No NG+ variability, but best rings locked in NG++ so you have to slog through to get them
>Poison is useless, Bleed is overpowered
>Rather than take good ideas from DS1 and 2, DS2 is completely disregarded
>Blatently unfinished textures (doesn't bother me too much but it's lazy as hell)
>Durability is completely useless, may as well not exist
>Elemental infusions are shit compared to heavy/sharp/refined
>Because of FP based casting magic/miracles/pyro is reduced to spamming your best spell repeatedly
>offensive miracles are worthless
>Bugs not fixed for months (applies to other DS games as well)
>Lore based off of DS1 wankery, DS2 shit upon

I loved it. My favourite game of all time is Dark Souls but I'd still recommend this over the others for people who are just curious about the series.
Dark Souls > Dark Souls 3 > Bloodborne (very understandable if someone puts this at the top) > Demon's Souls > Dark Souls 2

The souls reward system is terrible. I'm much less excited to invade other players. You get... so little from your victories.
I hated this change in Scholar of the First Sin. I think DS3 will be the last game that I'll buy from this company.

It's the worst Dark Souls, just because of its linear, shitty level and world design and DaS1-dicksucking. Dark Souls 2 was a million times more open-ended and original and I didn't even finish that game until after 3 because I didn't like it that much at the time. But I can see now.
We still haven't had a Souls game that distills all the mechanics of all games into the very best they can be. 3 should've been it. It already felt like a "best of Souls" with how much it blatantly takes from DaS1, DeS and BB. And some things it did right, and other things it did wrong yet again even though they should know better by now, it's the third game after all. It's a fine game, but very shallow compared to the two before it. It's a damn shame.
