I believe that the reason Atlus USA is reluctant to include the original Japanese dub is because of their localization which has not started at all. See the leaks from today. The whole game was still in Japanese.
When they localize they will have to translate jokes and sentences into English and some of them do not have a 1-to-1 translation from Japanese to English.

I managed to avoid all spoilers for MGSV before playing 6 months after release so I think I can avoid P5 spoilers.
I have a keenly developed spoiler sense and 9/10 I can abort reading a spoiler before any real damage is done. I have been gotten a few times but only when my guard is down and my good friends on /v/ before I play persona 5 my guard WILL NOT BE DOWN.

To be honest the problem isn't the quality of the English voice actors it's the quantity. If I hear Yuri Lowenthall again it's gonna be incredibly hard to stop thinking about the other characters he voices in the same damn series (Yosuke, P3MC). I hope Atlus USA realizes that older Persona games are gonna cross over sometimes and that they can't just keep using the same damn actors. I don't want to hear Adachi talking to himself in a fighting game because "Hey this guy's already in the studio. Let's have him do the protagonist. He'll never talk anyway, right?"
