did you not see it during the microsoft conference. they literally showed how the storymode was going to play out.
with cutscenes that get integrated into the actual fighting gameplay.

you do know that tekken 7 has been out in arcades for a while now, right? the console version is basically an enhanced version of the arcade version.
so of course its going to have its full roster plus any new character they are going to add to the home version.

By free to play bullshit he means the SF5 model where if you don't want to pay up for a DLC character you have to grind for currency.
Anyways I doubt that Harada will charge for the characters that come after release since TTT2 had free DLC characters(even though the only unique ones were Green Ogre and Dr. B)
It's been on arcades for two years so I guess it should be prety finished by the time of release.

Bamco tends to be very generous with content due to extended arcade release. You'll get a 30+ roster without season passes and that retarded shit.

Online in TTT2 was better than most so expect improvements. Story mode was shown a little so that looks fine and won't have any shit like SFV.

To be fair, Harada has also cucked console players big time by waiting two years for a console release. SFV went straight to console without two years at the arcades giving them time to make console content. The release plans both have their positives and negatives. I'm not sure which one I prefer. Maybe something inbetween.

Tekken 7 has the benefit of also spending almost two years in arcades.
If SFV had had a one year release in arcade like SF4 it would have come out more polished, but people literally don't understand how much arcade launches have helped fighting games in the past regarding character balance and game design.
SFV at the end of 2015 will be essentially what a normal console release is while SFV at launch was a normal arcade launch.

The people who have played the online of T7 say it's really good.
I'm glad that SFV came out in February, despite being unfinished. If SFV was delayed to 2017 alongside T7, I would've had zero fighting games to play this year besides Guilty Gear which I only play casually. By the time T7 is out on consoles, SFV is probably feature complete aswell.

In any case, Harada has had a pretty good track record when it comes to providing a lot of features for the console versions. 5, 6, and Tag 2 all had a lot of stuff in them. Hell, 5 had 1, 2, and 3 in the game as a bonus.
