You honestly think Aonuma does any programming or technical work whatsoever when he designs the Zelda games?
He comes up with the theme of the game, then the story, then a few new gameplay elements/items he'd like to introduce.
Aonuma's main influence for the new Zelda is apparently Skyrim, and it shows; even with the "1%" of the game they've shown, we've learned that the world is lifeless, filled with Bokoblin/enemy of the land encampments with easily breakable weapons for that part of the land. This random retard on an anonymous imageboard came up with interesting ideas for the game (having time pass, giving Link a bit more of a personality completely without words where he can be changed as a character, open world, proper dungeons that change the world around you and affect gameplay, time passing in a realistic way) besides Aonuma, whose main contributions to the game are making every area like Twilight Princess's Hyrule Field (boring), crafting, useless item collection, and mini dungeons that are unfulfilling as fuck. Imagine Wind Waker's tiny little underground sections except there are over a hundred of them and they're all boring as shit.
