Just like Johto, Hoenn and Sinnoh gave us ~70 Pokémon while having old mons.
They can't make too many Pokemon per generation or they'll run out of material and have to end the series.

Just make the distribution better than XY, where nearly nothing appeared in more than one area. It made the region feel very disjointed. Have more balance, like BW2 or ORAS.

The diversity of X/Y's dex was one of its strongest points. It's nice to have more than just 3 Pokemon to choose from in any given area.

GF had an excuse in XY, they had to model, rig, texture, and animate over 700 monsters (both for battle and amie). Now that they don't have that to deal with, they can easily add more Pokemon without hassle.
