combat is alright
too few skills, and too few skills can be equipped at one time
starts to get old after a while but by then you should have at least finished the main game
has a lot of neat features like the characters height/weight does have effects on characters and some other ideas that were almost there but never go all the way
best thing the game does better than most is its armor though, with it having layers and makes a visual difference when you equip new thingstoo many games leave out new equipment showing up on characters and that bugs the hell out of me
Play it for the journey.
It's probably the closest thing we'll have to an actual open world game adventure.

To me BBI 2.0 is the epitome of fun in Dragon's Dogma, places like Forgotten Hall, Sparyard of Scant Mercy and Fallen City are such a thrill getting so close to dying but managing to rally and beat the shit out of a city full of Eliminators or Living Armors, or killing 2 Dire dragons and a Cursed Dragon its intense.

Magick shield and longsword is amazing. You can block, add magic, etc
Hell, even adding a bow or magick bow to a longsword ups the gameplay a ton. There are also invisible edits of the magick bows and shield, so you can feel like you a longsword user with a little extra.
There's even an edit to the daggers so you can roleplay a monk class

PC fixes so many of the dry spots in this game. It can run on most toasters too.
I started it twice but couldn't finish it. I think the overworld is generic and there weren't a lot of cool areas. Not many fun quests or cool npcs. I played for probably 20 hours, not sure if it gets better after that
Combat felt really boring too, some encounters were tough enough to make them fairly memorable but usually it was just some dumb bullshit enemies
Overall I think it's a 3 or 4/10 and one of the more overhyped game on this board. If you like it, good for you, but I just thought it was another run of the mill open world adventure game
