The gameplay, outside of repeatable missions was fucking amazing in MGSV. I'm not sure you can blame him for the ending. As far as the story of what we did get, I feel like it was a big "Fuck you" to all the MGS4 is a movie crowd. Which I loved.

I hate the "MGS4 is a movie" crowd. They're people who hadn't played the previous games when MGS4 came out, but bought this one new PS3 game that everyone was talking about and giving 10/10's, and did get shit about the story, so they kept complaining until their rant achieved meme status.
Not that the story of MGS4 is actually good, though, it doesn't deliver after the wacky shit that was set up in MGS2.

I understand your point, But the change AI direction, from societal manipulation to war profiteering was exactly what MGS4 was about. It couldn't use MGS2's setup as the AI went rogue and didn't do what it was designed to do in MGS2, which was information control.

I loved mgsv but it was obviously not a finished game. Most of the story was told in menus, some of which sounded like they should have been cutscenes, Snake only had 1 response for most situations, and characters just disappeared.

Honestly I am not even upset about MGSV. MGS4 was the story focused Metal Gear game that fans splooged for and it was a nice way to end the story of Solid Snake. MGS PW and MGSV were completely unnecessary to the story and I'm glad they focused on game play instead of the story. I also kind of like what Kojima was trying to do with you being Venom even if it wasn't executed the best. Only thing that really disappointed me was the lack of bosses and the couple that were in the game were really boring.

This is pretty much how I feel too, I enjoyed MGSV for what it was. Cannot tell you how many times I listened to the last Paz tapes, and the secret ones too while running around MB. "let it guide you, live." Shit got to be. Game has a lot of wonderful moments. Particularly the qurantine mission and the scene where you kill skull face with miller in the most sadistic way, I just wish their was NG+ so I was more inclined to replay missions.
