I think Shadow Warrior 2013 was more fun though, the dash, speed and feedback for killing enemies all made a much more enjoyable killing experience.
It did have nice vertical level design, if a bit cramped. I can see it improving a lot with more and more powerful weapons down the line and the speed upgrade, but it's very obvious it was made for consoles first.
Shame that a game as mediocre as Shadow Warrior 2013 has to be the best modern "throwback" shooter. With SW2 going the Borderlands route, I'm afraid we might not get a truly good shooter for a long time, if ever.
