As many of you noticed the Sony stage didn't take up its allotted time (it was precisely 30~ minutes short and this can be verified for yourselves if you don't want to take my word for it) and the final gameplay demo felt "out of place".
Well, the reason for this is that up until yesterday it was planned to show RD at the end of Sony's show to close. The demo for Days Gone was going to be shown after the announcement trailer was played. Days Gone gameplay demo was moved to the end to replace the RD announcement. In the RD announcement trailer there is a scene of an outlaw shooting up innocent people at a popular brothel/saloon. Due to the recent Orlando massacre it was decided that it was inappropriate to show and there was no time to edit a new trailer. I don't know when they will announce now but still expect at least something tomorrow or on the E3 floor.
Rockstar did indeed try to push for Sony to delay their conference but Sony refused due to Rockstar request an additional 5 hours. This is all for now, expect to be kept updated.
On a side note,Sony won E3

On the other, how long would it take to edit that scene out? Unless it took up a good chunk of it, it seems like something simple to remove.

The only thing believable about this is how weird it was they announced Days Gone then at the end of the show picked up EXACTLY where the announcement video ended. Like the character was standing exactly in the same spot. It seemed like it was an intro trailer that went directly into the gameplay, but they decided to save the gameplay until the end of the conference. Also Rockstar announced the PS4/Xbox 1 GTAV at Sonys conference. But I still don't believe red deads next game was meant to be revealed today. Guess we will find out soon enough if they can re-edit the trailer and release it at E3

I went to one of those theater showings for the event, because free swag why not. The Sony people running the thing and letting people in were telling everyone it'd get out around 10, so we in the theater were all a bit surprised to be done at 9:30.

I was surprised by the lack of Rockstar because Sony has had a marketing deal with them lately. if they were going to show Kojima's game, which probably isn't due for another few years, they would've showed something from Rockstar.
