Well you clearly haven't had any experience with Windows 10's wonderful App Store. You thought Games for Windows was shit? This thing is a blight on PC gaming. Making their PC versions exclusive to their shitty store is the problem.
But I am not complaining too much at least I get Scalebound on PC one way or another. So I guess I'll grab a hard copy for Xbox One since I'm getting a PC version too and I collect physical games.

I love the cross buy idea even though i dont use my PC for games. Good for you PC guys to get to play these games too. I like to have physical copies of my games as well.
