There's no must have game on this system. There's nothing that's made me go "Oh man, I would have missed out if I didn't have this system!" The Gamecube had like 20 of those. The N64 had a boatload of those. the SNES had a boatload of those. Even the Wii had some.
Beyond that we are lucky to get 5 new games a year and most of those are ports or complete dumpster garbage, like Star Fox Zero and #FE.

They'll have to test for all versions of the consoles and perform tweaks for those versions to hit whatever their fidelity/stability goals are, plus the more advanced ones might have new features, like how the scorpio will have VR.

They do have to do QA testing on both versions of the hardware, and for games like Hyrule Warriors, yes.
The difference is that 3DS games aren't being made specifically to take advantage of the new 3ds hardware very often, everything is going to be taking advantage of the scorpio and neo shit in some way.
