That's them obfuscating the literal meaning of what they're saying. They're trying to advertise it as 4k, but it can't do that for actual games. "Highest quality" and "uncompressed" pixels actually mean that they can do 1080p without tricks such as upscaling.

I never bought it the first time. But now that Skyrim is being remastered complete with mods I am considering which cancerous current gen console to finally buy.
They didn't sell enough consoles to meet their goals.
Re-release essentially the same hardware with slight upgrades and HUGE upsell.
Then re-re-release it again with an even bigger upsell.

6 teraflops is pretty respectable anyway. The new console is either going to cost a shitload, or Microsoft's xbox division is going to operate on heavy deficits.
I'm pretty interested in seeing what's inside it. Since console tech is AMD exclusively these days, and AMD has been rumoured to be pushing multi-GPU solutions, that 6 teraflops could amount to something like dual Polaris 11. Dual GPUs in consoles could mean good things for dual GPU usage on PCs as well. DX12/Vulkan explicit multiadapter seems promising too.

I know what a flop is, but a flop is not a 1 to 1 measure of performance. Higher flop cards can have worse performance than lower flop cards based on a fuckton of other factors. All Microsoft mentioned was how many flops it could do, that's a terrible measure of performance. It tells us almost nothing when you get right down to it, except that it'll be stronger than an Xbox One.
