Being on fire doesn't mean you necessarily contributed more to your team.
Consider this. What if there's an enemy low on health, escaping, and you have the chance to rush in and eliminate them, but your team is also capturing the objective. If you stay on the objective when it captures, you'll get a huge boost in fire, but if you go in and eliminate the wounded enemy, you would be contributing more to your victory, since the point would get captured anyways and an enemy would have to respawn.
Harassment and distraction doesn't contribute to being on fire either, so even if a tracer is completely fucking with the enemy team and making it easier for her own team to secure the point, she won't get on fire despite helping out a ton.
Being on fire tends to always favor the healer due to it being much easier to heal allies than it is to actually kill enemies. The on fire meter always goes up really fast when I play as healer. Meanwhile, as a damage dealer, I have to literally ace the whole enemy team to get on fire, unless I get on fire from standing on objective points.

The game is slow as fuck, revolves around press Q to win, and once you have the skins you want either through levels or coins, there's nothing really interesting since you're destined to lose more often no matter how well you do, how many kills you get, or how many traps you set up.
