Never played it on PS3, will the remaster be worth it, or as /v/ seems to agree the game is shit?
If you don't have a PC with enough grunt to run the original release with mods and you've never played the original on console, I'm sure it will be quite a fun time. I liked it, but it's popular so /v/ hates it.

TESV is a bad RPG but a very comfy game. It's worth the purchase. I discovered the series with V and I found it very fun to play, but I played mostly automatically, looking at the arrows, exploring and not reading anything at all because the game is extremely casual.
When you try to play TES III, you clearly see how much was lost in the casualisation. TES has an excellent background that you can completely ignore in Skyrim, something you can't do in Morrowind because there is no retard mode.

PS3 version on release was a broken mess. After 10-20 hours of gameplay, frame rate dropped below 10 and load times doubled, at least. Bethesda refused to acknowledge or fix the issue until 3 months after release.

I was insanely hyped when it originally released on ps3. My pc would not run it so that's what I had to do. I liked it at first, but after a while I started noticing it's problems.

Overall that feeling of an open live world was gone from Oblivion and Morrowind. Those games, as soon as you got out of the tutorial, truly felt alive, maybe not so much today as it did back then, but they had charm. Skyrim felt really empty in comparison.

I don't think it would be worth buying for console. The most fun I got out of it was modding. Once I had all the stuff I wanted on it I just went around skyrim doing whatever the fuck I wanted and had survival/camping mods to make it more comfy. Barely did any quest lines because they're all shit but still had fun exploring.
