On Console, melee is king.
On PC, guns are king.
It's just how controls work. Easier to hack and slash than shoot with a gamepad.
Also alerts and mission are in different places and times for the different platforms.

What actually happened is the warframes were revealed to be armored suits, and the tenno are children that were on a lost colonization ship sent out by the orokin which in turn had some space magic happen, killing the adults and turning the children into wizards. Lotus hide said kids on the Moon to prevent their mass execution, and then made the Moon fucking disappear. Part of a quest line has you retrieve your own body from the Moon to bring it on your ship.
Warframe = the golems/things you play as. Not you, but is still alive and aware on some level.
Tenno = the operator who sits in the psychic fun chair. This is the real you.

Actual legit spoilers. Ye have been warned.A mission you can go through around rank 3 (you'll get your ass whooped that low, though) has you hunting down the moon, which the lotus hid, as the Stalker and some Sentients have found where the power that drives the Warframes come from.
You find the moon (Lotus hid it in the void), Stalker starts having the anti-universe crush it, and it returns to reality when you hit the OH SHIT switch.
You make your way to the central chamber, open a Warframe pod and find a teenager. Your Warframe then glitches out and falls inert. The child crawls his/her way over to the Warframe and reactivates it, being the source of its power.
Warframe carries the child to the Liset , where the Stalker was waiting. Child shoves some concentrated FUCK YOU PSYCHIC POWERS into the Stalker, but is defeated. As the Stalker is choking the kid out, the Warframe wakes its lazy ass up and starts fighting back. Stalker retreats.
Lotus carries the wounded teen to a room in the Liset, and you can customize his/her appearance, gender, voice, and powers.
The Warframes were always just frames, controlled by the Tenno, brainwashed child soldier experiments. You now control both, and can use the Tenno powers, and also there's new areas and enemies on the now-revealed moon.

People bring it up. The issue is I have 100+ hours and I regret it. I grinded to grind. There never was a mission that felt like a challenge, like it was genuinely hard. There's not tough smart enemies or clever design. It's always you and your team form a meat grinder and watch the last funnel in to see how well optimised a time you could grind your meat in.

its progressed so far than when i initially played as a founder, the game was cool then but now its actually a GAME, movement is super nice, gunplay is roughly the same meaning good, the grind is arguably better but its still a huge fucking grind

It's a good enough game but ultimately there just isn't enough content to keep you Stanford for a long enough time. It's not open world so there's not much to really explore, the lore is...weird. If you get really into it, the lore might be worth it but even that is really limited. It's not PvP either, at least not good PvP. You can only do the same mission for so long until it gets boring, especially when you're forced to do it to get that weapon or that blueprint or that chance at getting a piece of a blueprint that gives you a chance of getting a blueprint. With friends it's fun but solo it gets even more stale.
Mind you all of this comes from someone with 1000+ hours into the game. It just feels like with all theyve been adding it's oversaturated and bland now.
