I've been watching them since early high school years so basically any after 2001, and they have a pretty reliable pattern of one interesting E3 followed by two or three awful years. We've got a shit year or two to go.
Also E3 is just hyped up too much anyway so that does it no favors.

Anon, I'm 27, I been coming here since 05 when I was 16. Yes, we're getting too old. The last true great E3 for me was in 2006 even if the Sony conference was hilariously bad (in a good way). After that, E3 downsized dramatically and we entered the brown and grey era and then E3 got somewhat bigger but nowhere as big as during the golden age of 95-2006.
But yeah, I can't stand the industry anymore OP. The casualization continues and it gets worse each year. The lack of games and them showing off concept art is maddening.
