Okay, like I said from going to cons and by knowing a lot of people related to the "cosplay scene" I know enough to pass on any potential relation with a cosplayer girl.
Most girls start as cosplayers of course because of the attention, the stages, the potential prizes and the hopes of being the next Nigri.
I can count with my hand the number of girls that I know that like to cosplay because they like the characters or want to have a nice fun day, and more than half of them think like that because there's still teens.... still innocent about the whole money and whoring stuff.

Like I said it, at least on my city it works a little different.
Orgies between cosplayers and other regulars do exist, but they never are held on the convention center, usually a day later on the house of some local guy with enough money and no parents/parent out of the city, rarely in hotels.
How to participate? By personal invitation that are handed based on connections and/or money, like if you're the ugly and skinny and know nobody? Of course nobody will invite you.
You're ugly but have money and know people? You're in because there's a good chance that some of the girls will let you fuck them like a prostitute, or even fuck and then become a couple because those sluts are really money hungry.
Like 90% of the girls on my city started making slutty paper bag cosplays that barely had any worth or effort, but after they got a boyfriend with money.... the wigs, accesories and expensive dresses started to roll in, so they start to win competitions, get that ego up, make facebook pages, get streams, donations, shit like that, in no time they start making their own money, and eventually drop their bf when a more wealthy one comes.
Like unless your body is greek god tier, nobody will invite you if you don't have any money bud.
Another model that it's used on my city is hiring cosplayers for the con as scorts.
You pay them to be with you, to be kind, gf experience kind of deal, buy them stuff and then fuck them in the hotel in the night.
I know that at least 80% of the cosplayers here, male or female do that regulary.
One girl I know got pregnant off it, got married and still continues being a whore and still sells herself as a cosplay scort.

You just boost in on people and win 1v1s with anyone who isnt mei, zarya, reaper, or roadhog with his hook up. If your mech dies, try to kite them. Also, remember that your blaster does decent damage with zero fall off, and abuse this to hit far off stationary or fat targets to build your mech recall. Your ult is hard to kill people with, accept this and try to use it decently regardless.

As someone who's played a ton of d.va, I feel like letting her fire while flying wouldn't even be that big of a buff so there's no point. Usually when you're flying around, you're doing one of these things:
>flying upwards or somewhere where you're not aiming at an enemy
>aiming at an enemy but you're far away
>aiming at an enemy and you're close, meaning you'll bump into them and fly through them after a split second
There wouldn't really be any opportunity to do a ton of damage and would just make people complain about the buff.
Letting her shoot while shielding would just be outright broken though, as right now she can already win a close range duel with most people. Letting her shoot while shielding would let her easily win any duel that isn't against a mei or zarya.
>give her an ability when she pops out of her mech. Maybe a roll to get her out of the way of her blast and something else. Make her more playable when you are ejected/jump out.
Meh, it's already really easy to get your mech back as long as you hit ~15 blaster shots. Not sure on the exact number there but if you see a roadhog or enemy d.va you can just unload your blaster and get your mech back instantly.

And once the cons are over, they still have normal lives back home. Saw a father and son cosplaying dragon ball z nappa and vegeta respectively.
