Asari, or at least the Asari before this game didn't have hair, and they didn't fucking pencil in eyebrows ether. As silly as it is, the lines on Liara for example are actually her natural tattoo pattern. Same for Samara and Aria.
I find it odd the brow and head crown are so different too, it looks more like some sort of scientifically made Asari or a new breed of Asari founded in the new Universe they've gone to.

From what was leaked and hinted at by Developers. The Ark left just before or in between ME2 and 3 as a back up plan if everything went tits up.
The problem though is that the Kill Reapers WAS the canon ending however no matter what, the Sol System is doomed, in the last of the last DLC for ME3 you find out that the Leviathans, the creators of the Reapers; made them to stop an even GREATER threat.
The Reapers took it upon themselves and their Answer to the Question/Equation was to do what they did. But now that the Reapers are gone theres nothing holding back the more ANCIENT ANCIENT Evil and the way it ends it, no matter what we did we would have lost int he end.
It's a way to end the and cut out the story of ME1 to 3 but still keep the races and themes of the first trilogy.

Personally, I'm just angry there are any Asari at all. They were such a shit race and paled in comparison to every other race.
