From the music to the difficulty, to the memes. Everything is amazing. Why did Kojima make this game GOAT, then proceeded to shit the bed with MGS V?
>>340940885
>Kojima make this game
heh, you silly bitch
>>340941120
>heh, you silly bitch
I know Kojimoto didn't make the game, but what kind of an insult is that? You sound like a ruso-viatnamese 14 year old.
>>340941278
>insult
Speaking of 14 year olds.
Kojima had nothing to do with it aside from giving Platinum control over the project and maybe taking a quick look at the script to make sure they didn't put in anything that would contradict his plans for MGSV.
>>340941826
They can't contradict it singse MGR is in the future.
STANDING
>>340940885
>start bossfight
>wait 'till the very moment you're dying
>press start
>switch suit
>get white roboarmor
>immediately get 10 full energy bars
>10
>crush the senator like a little bitch
It was so easy it wasn't even fun.
>>340940885
Because MGR is the first action game you've ever played?
>>340940885
I feel like Armstrong and Creedo were both some of the best designed boss fights of that generation.
>>340941278
>ruso-viatnamese
>>340942107
>abusing cheap things
>complain about game being too easy
>>340940885
It was alright. I didn't think it was the best ever, though.

child's interpretation of MGS2's plot
>Why did Kojima make this game GOAT,
Platinum dev'd it
>>340942107
>CanĀ“t beat it
>Cheats
>Complain
What? Why would you do something like that? And who the fuck would try to find a loop hole like this? When did people stop playing games and just looked up guides and cheats?
because he was a difficult boss but you couldn't actually complain because there was nothing unfair about it. the game wasn't cheating, you just needed to not make errors with how you moved
>>340944540
Now that I think about it? You're actually right. Gen 7 had generally shitty boss battles, but those two are stand outs.
For context: I'm using boss battles like DMC3's Vergil Final Battle and Ninja Gaiden's Alma boss battles as the benchmarks for good action game bosses.
>>340940885
It was Plat not Kojima.
Anyway:
Music was 10/10 - no idea how they could fit it so damn perfect, matching the flow of the battle like no tomorrow, rock hard , just rock hard as fuck.
>>340944540
Does Armstrong do anything smart or outstanding in particular?
I know he's hype, has a good theme and all that jazz, but gameplay-wise I don't consider him something special. Jeanne from Bayonetta was more impressive.
>>340945089
>buying a suit and then using it during the only moment it can ever be useful during the game is now cheating
Not his fault if the game is designed to be that easy
>>340944878
>Music is stupid, but hype as fuck
>I did the battle on 0 nanopaste (as one should) and it was difficult in the beginning and his attacks got harder as I got nanopaste, and even killed me once when I had 4 packs.
>Solidus wasn't literaly DONALD FUCKING TRUMP
>>340947109
>get your ass beat by the boss
>use a cheat suit to cheese the fight
>"hurr durr, why is the gaem so EZ guys!?"
Hopefully you're only pretending for those sweet (You)s.

No, Johnny. You're still the retard here.
>>340944540
I'll get a lot of shit for this, but I think the last Jeanne fight in Bayo 1 was the best and most hype boss battle from last gen.
Rising also has the best character to ever appear in a Metal Gear game.
What did he mean by this?
>>340949091
Angry Joe?
>>340947024
I don't know, man. The Jeanne battles sure were fun but they didn't really pose any challenge. (unless you went for infinite climax mode) To me, Vergil 3 will always be that one rival fight that actually pushes you to the limit.
>>340947024
If you were good at MGR, you probably went through the whole game without breaking a sweat. However, Armstrong was going to slap your shit no matter how prepared you thought you were due to his insane AoE shit and speed. without being broken. Most modern games just completely gave up on having final bosses that made the player retry the fight at least once so I think that's why a fight like Armstrong is remembered so fondly.
>>340944540
Creedo was insanely amusing. There's just something about the whole fight that makes every single exchange really satisfying. It's a shame that it really isn't a difficult fight, but hey, sometimes that's not really necessary.
>defeat Giant Fuckhuge robot.
>The pilot comes out
>He was the real boss fight all along.
I think getting this may have been my proudest vidya achievement.
Yes I am a shitter
>>340940885
It was cool and everything, but it wasn't that difficult.
He's actually the only boss I can do on the hardest difficulty.
>>340949091
Reminder that this little nig stole Sunny's virginity
>>340940885
Armstrong, and all of the MGR bosses, are really nothing special as a result of the combat. Greatest boss battle ever made jesus christ no.
>>340950218
probably that they'll make America great again
>>340940885
sam was a better fight, even if parries absolutely destroy him on revengence.
>>340950467
I think the same. But the question was regarding the previous gen.
>>340951234
Yeah, DESU, sundowner was my first death. Armstrong was my 2ND to 5th death. Wasn't expecting him to hit that god damn hard
