Everyone in Hyrule mistakes an ordinary cucco for being the Legendary Hero.
You get to play as the cucco, using your natural ability to float to get through dungeons and call your fellow fowl to get you out of trouble.
Items and magic get tailored to you as well, because even the goddesses are convinced you are Hyrule's next savior.
The real Link is always one step behind you, doing the real hard work of killing enemies, solving puzzles, ect.
Eventually the both of you team up and defeat Ganon.
You get to kiss Zelda at the end, only for your little green hat to fall off and reveal your true identity.
She laughs and sends you back to Kakariko. Link and Ganondorf sit at the milk bar wondering how this shit even happened.

the difficulty of zelda is pretty close to that of dark souls desu. it's "challenging" in that you have to kind of think about it but any retard can easily beat it. the only difference is zelda has less artificial difficulty moments.
