What was the last truly great game Nintendo made? I'm having a hard time thinking of one.

Tropical Freeze, Metroid Prime, Star Fox Zero, Pokemon and so on count since Nintendo didn't work on them, studios like Retro, Platinum, SEGA, Gamefreak etc developed them. The games have to be Nintendo only.

Kirby something maybe?

So you basically mean Nintendo EAD developed games. Just say so next time.

The fuck, Retro is a Nintendo studio. Does it not count because it's not named EAD Austin?

Not made directly by Nintendo, but made by a studio Nintendo formed solely for making this game, so it counts.

Also one of the best games they ever made.

Xenoblade and X may also count since Monolith is wholly owned by Nintendo.

I'd say Splatoon, but then everyone on /V/ might immaturely throw there fedoras at me because of the bandwagon.

The first galaxy is almost 10 years old now.

This game single-handedly revived a series at death's door, surpassing previous installments in almost every regard.

Their last 10/10 game was Kid Icarus and their last earth-shattering medium-defining masterpiece was Galaxy 2. Good taste ITT, no objections from me.
