Last good E3 was 2006. I know it's been a decade, but that was the last E3 that was fully blown with extravagence. Then after it downsized for 2-3 years and recovered slightly but was no longer what it once was.
E3 2010 was alright, but a lot of the shit in that picture outside of Iwata was just as fucking stupid. The little girl and the gimmick crap with the Xbox 360 camera never took off and everything else is ghetto shit and EA sports.
Anyways, 3DS was the only good thing in E3 2010.

Sony 2006 was magical. It might have been bad, but it wasn't BAD bad. It was a good bad, it was so fucking memorable and a complete embarassment primarily because Sony at the time was so god damn smug from their success with the PS2 and at the time the Xbox division of Microsoft was headed by a really great man but unfortunately was replaced by the end of 2006 thus MS started to become shit.

The story WOULD be better if Chapter 3 was in. You would have had it tie in more to the overall Metal Gear story with the Liquid shit and Zero.

anon, I've played and actually enjoyed the game, this doesn't make the story any better, both because it's incomplete as you stated, but even more because the trailers built up a more deep and distinct story.
Instead it was your typical MGS story, with even less themes developed.
Maybe it was my fault for expecting something new and deeper, but that's why I call him an hack: because it managed to create huge expectations with beautiful and suggestive trailers, while it didn't deliver. It's somewhat a compliment
