The Evil Within is an incredible game. It's a mix of Resident Evil 4, Silent Hill, Blood Siren with a sprinkle ofThe Last of Us
The game is tense as fuck, it's atmospheric horror at its finest and the game is brutal, the first chapter is one of the best casual filters I've ever seen in a video game.
More people should give it a chance, especially if you are fan of old school survival horror.

Silent Hill 3 sucked. Only 2 is worth playing. Got so bored with SH3 I didn't bother finishing it. No scary music or creepy atmosphere to keep the suspense going. Also it was all one huge walk through unlike SH2 where you can go to different places whenever. The story didn't even make sense

I liked The Evil Within for the first few chapters but I feel like once you're out in the city the game really loses something. The scarcity of ammo and resources was cool though.

The game fucked my shit up so many times, there are so many random difficulty spikes. It's one of the rare horror games that require you to actually git gud in order to progress. You have to use every single thing at your disposition to keep progressing.
