That link says only DQ Builders. I'd like to hope they've finally woken up and will be releasing Dragon Quest X in the west, since it just got announced for China. But given their track record, that seems like less than a 1% chance.

Pay to play or free to play, they're all struggling. Doesn't mean they should ignore Dragon Quest X. Especially with FFXIV hemorrhaging subs. If they did it correctly, releasing DQX could make up the lost subs from FFXIV, while also marketing FFXIV more.

It only makes money if it doesn't bleed subs. P2P works if you can pay in-game money for the gametime and those items are bought from the developer.
You just need to look at how many P2P games have come out and dropped P2P once they realised it's not good.

FFXIV has lost like 97% of its playerbase from launch. But it is still somehow gaining just as many new players per month. FFXIV is never going to hit 10 million consistent subs like WoW did. But its still making money since its basically staying at 400-600k subs each month. Which more than makes up server maintenance costs. Even if the game only had 100k subs, it would be making money.
