IRL most guns have either no recoil or far too much. Rifles barely tap your shoulder whereas most pistols (Because of their shitty blowback that shifts their weight) and shotguns are borderline insane.

IRL guns:
Need constant cleaning and care.
Jam like bitches if you don't.
Loud as fuck.
Some are heavy and annoying to carry around.
You don't use them as much as in video games, if at all.
Need lots of training to fire well from the hip.
Require you to go prone or sit if you actually want to hit something further than 50-100 meters.
Not fun at all unless used as a hobby.
I'm in basic training right now. Shooting accurately while standing or kneeling is pretty tough. Shooting while prone or sitting is ez. Recoil on 5.56mm is no more than what I usually see portrayed in vidya. I never got to use auto, but my instructor landed a full 3-round burst at 100m.
Assault rifles are pretty fun, shame I'll never get to use one in the chair force.
