Oh, I do play some fighting games every now and then and I have tons of fun. I also take some time to try and learn the basics and some bread and butter combos but it's just that when I realize how much I have left to learn and how much time that will take, I kind of lose motivation. I know that the skill ceiling, getting better and all that are like some of the most important aspects of a fighting game. Well, of any competitive game, really, but with fighting games in particular I get really desmotivated after a while. I guess fighting games are just not my thing, you know. I'm probably just a casual. The last fighting games I really got into were Melty Blood AACC and Street Fighter 4 but that was quite some time ago. Seifuku Akiha and Cammy were pretty fun. The fighting isn't that great and i absolutely hate the fact most character just go for the jump 50/50 after a knock down. It get's old really fast, also all the characters i like kinda suck ass and playing grapplers is fucking awful. I tried to play the game with a couple o friends but most of them don't even play the game anymore, one of them was a platinum player, and i couldn't have a decent match with the ones who still play even after port forwarding.

The fun of watching games of SFIV got me into it, Id watch games then try to emulate what I saw online and maybe learn some things and get better.
SFV just doesnt feel as much fun to watch or play so i've moved to ST and the marvel vs games.
