One question though. How does GoG handle game updates? From what I know, you just download an exe and play from that, whereas Steam has its auto-updater and everything. What's the best Total War to get into the series? PC isn't good enough to handle Warhammer, everything else is fine. I know lots of people recommend Medieval 2 for its mods, but the UI makes me go eh... Graphically it's really fine, but I get easily annoyed by clunky interfaces.

Shogun looks the best from an interface and cleanness perspective, but Rome has the more interesting setting. Plus, Shogun's units all blend together because it's just random Japanese name #4352 to me.

Probably Shogun 2. It is the most carefully crafted of them all and has a nice mesh of old world/new world type units. The single player is simple yet deep, you should start with the Shimazu. After that, whatever strikes your fancy. Rome 2 is still good and is underrated, Warhammer is tons of fun as well.

It's a great game and is much more strategic and squad based than DA2 whilst not being shit MMO tier like Inquisition. Easily the best of the series and also has a very epic feeling to it with a lot of interesting lore, characters and quests.
