Oswald is way more fun once you realize a ton of his pow skills launch the enemy into the side of the screen then back to you so you can keep the combo going. I always finish the group off with that aerial kick for style points.
Velvet is fun once you get all the spin skills and just turn into a flaming whirlwind, but that's super late in her chapter.

Oswald ended up being the strongest characters, mostly because his HP grwoth was by far, the highest out of all the 5 characters and his shadow mode was OP as hell, but you needed the U and P potions for it to be useful
