Guns that I own if its a shooter.
A decent character creator, or characters that are silent.
Atmosphere.
Solid mechanics, nothing feels "cheap."
Controls do what you expect them to. No noticeable delay between input and action, no twitchy mouse support.
Length of the game is definitely a big factor, same with replay value.

The problem is Ron Cohen.
He has driven the SIGSAUER brand into the ground, and only in recent years have the falling sales convinced him to turn corporate strategy around and start producing premium products to reinvigorate the brand.
They still outsource small parts production to every asshole of the earth country out there. Controls, grip screws, and main hammer springs are all notorious for displaying surface rust NIB.

This bothered me, bought some grips made in Israel, short trigger made in India, I don't know why. And I completely agree with about Ron Cohen, he's kimberfying Sig and it shows on the 226 catalog.

tbqh, I may sell my 226 and get a Glock 19 desu. Not really feeling it. I will say, the Legion line is worth the money but as for every new Exeter sig, not so much.

Speaking of Sigs, why does every single shooter fail to properly animate DA/SA hammers? I can't think of a single game apart from MGS2 that does it. Even games made in 2015/16 don't bother with it

Again it shows, weeb posters don't know jack shit about what they're talking about and should just stop posting.

Little things like this always baffle me, especially when studios brag about hiring firearms "experts" and they still get some things incredibly wrong. If such a thing really exists, then I think being a self proclaimed firearm expert is probably the easiest bullshitting job there is.
The people you're advising have no idea whether or not you're right, so you can tell them just about anything.

COD is one of the more satisfying when it comes to that. Singleplayer, the weapons are designed differently, there's more kick to them, a greater sense of impact and need to control your shots.

Multiplayer weapons are "simplified" for balance and clarity, you can let off longer bursts in order to deal with far more mobile enemies (other players) and there's less random inaccuracy.

It's really weird that several others shooters (most by EA, especially Battlefield games like BC2 and BF3) do the opposite in that SP has very pithy weapon feel while the MP versions have greater kick and/or more unpredictable inaccuracy, neither of which feel really good. Most however just have the same exact variables for weapons in both SP and MP.

>>340705042
Not so. It began with COD2 and has been almost entirely unchanged since (although many setpieces in each game uniquely modify behavior for the purpose of what you're doing, such as being required to run out into the open or one of the many chase sequences where their accuracy improves based on time exposed). Back in COD1, enemy behavior was so simple that they could do an instant 180° and kill you with a series of shots to the toe if it was the only thing exposed and they had an MP44.

COD singleplayer has a core enemy behavior in that the enemy's accuracy is proportional to the percentage of your body exposed to their vision. Basically if most of your body is concealed behind solid cover, they'll spray bullets all around you in a wide cone, only a small chance to hit you. But if more than half of you is exposed, they will drill a hole in your head with bullets.

FEAR really doesn't change between the difficulties, it just makes enemy health and damage higher. The speed at which the player is losing health in >>340703963 suggests that it is Hard difficulty. Funny, he didn't even make use of the Slo-Mo which effectively causes each soldier to instantly seize up so they can yell "holy shit!", giving you several seconds to have your way with them.

The AI are always fucking retarded, they spend most of the time yelling at each other and running around in very dumb ways, very often getting caught in loops without ever shooting at you even if you're standing right in front of them. That anyone heralds it as a game with "good AI" is a sad misinformed meme.

I never said anything about cod being good at anything, just that you're spouting garbage meant to foool dumbasses, just like you.

You sure didn't. But you implied good gunplay was ever used as a marketing tool by devlopers of any cod game

Too bad no game released today has it. It either falls short in one of those departments severely enough to make the experience mediocre or is lacking it altogether.

If only
>Play Skyrim
>One shot everyone on easy difficulty
>1v1 takes 5 minutes on hard because they have 10x health
>Swordplay is literally mash left mouse button
>Spend 5 minutes mashing on a guy with your sword
>Get one shot by him because he has 10x damage as well
>>
I just want something immersive that I could roleplay with, and lots of customization.

The last time I played something which also built up my standards is New Vegas
