So I've been playing Odin Sphere for the first time on the on the vita and I want to get Muramasa. I have played the Wii version though.
I heard there are 2 versions. One with the DLC and one without. Is this true? Is there a physical copy of the one with the DLC or is it download only?
What's your opinion on Odin Sphere, Muramasa, or just Vanillaware in general
Vanillaware is fucking great, they never disappoint me and I can't wait to get my hands on Odin Sphere. Sucks having to wait for the end of the month because of EU, but it's going to be great.
I've played/will play all their games released on the Vita and I'm eager to see their next big thing.

Personally muramasa was my least favourite. Still a great game though. Dragon's Crown is superb. Haven't played the odin sphere remake yet, Grim Grimoire was also pretty great.

The one with DLC is only for Vita. You can buy a physical copy of the game, but the extra chapters (the ones not on the Wii) are DLC.

I didn't get a chance to play Grim and I heard it was an rts type game and I'm not too into those. I have dragons crown and I just resurrected the first goddess. Its been a great game.

I enjoyed the first 2 DLC (Nekomata and farmers). But the Ninja-Snek one isn't as fun. Maybe because the Ninja can't do shit for damage?

Muramasa was pretty fun in my opinion, the only problem being it gets somewhat repetitive at times, but the overall experience was enjoyable in my opinion, and I poured more than 26 hous on it. Still have to purchase the DLC's though, I've read they are worth it. Dragon's Crown is awesome, moreso with friends.

I'm getting the physical release the day it comes, I want it on my shelf. Probably on my nearest Game since there is no Gamestop any longer around here. I'll be getting it with my first paycheck ever so it will be even better times all around! Pretty excited.

I found the farmers' bosses to be pretty tough, too. But at least I could wait on the hoe to recharge and stall with the others.

I forgot what I did with the ninja. Think upgrading bombs was what made some fights seem alot easier since they just did a ton of damage then I would just hold out until I could use them again.

they're really short like 3 or 4 new bosses, but you have the option of fighting the main stories bosses on top of that and I think doing that unlocks a 2nd ending, but I only did it with Rajyaki

The physical copies worldwide are just the vanilla game, no way to get the DLC on cartridge.
The DLC can be purchased via PSN. Either separate, or as a bundle. They are well worth it.

Ninja spam is rapid, but not very strong and causes pretty much no knockback.
Rajyaki is the only character that flat out felt stupidly strong and broken as fuck to me.

Is there any harm in grinding in Odin Sphere? I do manage to get S-ranks, but I feel like I'm doing it by the skin of my teeth on the battles that are right at my level or a bit above.

I'd actually say that some grinding is extremely recommended. Not just to get all the abilities on everyone for endgame, you'll want to get the biggest bags on each character so you can hold more ingredients so you can make more high multiplier potions and lots of dishes at the pooka restaurants. It all kind of feeds into itself, so if you want to work on anything you're going to have to grind somewhere else too to make it feasible. There are also some other farming things you really need to watch out for, like getting mandragoras to make the potions which protect you against the detrimental effect each given zone has.

Muramasa for Sushi, Mochi and bean jellies. It looks even better than the real thing. And I'd always stop into the store to buy them, even when I was at full life. after a while, I stopped caring about food in Dragon's Crown since it didn't help much. I'd just throw some rice and steak into a pan to get the +10 damage boost, then sit there for 2 minutes.

I dont know how long I could keep supporting these faggots. I dont want a ps4 and the ps vita original model has fucked up "oled contrast", oled saturation and sometimes even shitty fps like when casting any type of magic in DC, which I also have both versions...ps3 and vita.

I've been looking forward to Muramasa. I got Dragon's Crown while it was on sale last week, but I haven't played it yet, want to finish my current game first. Looks good though. I didn't play Odin Sphere when it came out years ago, but I did play the demo of the remake and it was fun, I'll definitely pick it up once I clear Dragon's Crown and Muramasa. Trying to wait to see if I can catch Muramasa on sale, though I'll go ahead and just buy it if it still hasn't gone on sale after I finish Dragon's Crown and SMT II.
So glad I decided to just use the US PSN despite preferring to play Nip games in Nip, the prices are so much better.

I don't know how you're playing if you feel you need to grind. The game is well adjusted so that if you go to the restaurant once after every chapter you'll be at the right level, which is sufficient. Pop a yogurt if you want to bulk up more, and don't be shy with ingredients.
Alchemy and magic are both really powerful. They make a tough fight into something much easier. Still not a cakewalk, but a lot less difficult.
Just choose which skills you'll use, you really don't need them all- or even most of them. Psypher ranking takes priority until it starts to get fuck off expensive because ATK is still the most important stat.
Also put on the vamp ring when you find it, that shit removes the need for healing altogether.

Is anyone else here hyped for 13 Sentinels Aegis Rim? I'm really into Mecha so I'm loving the idea of a Mecha Vanillaware game.
