ITT: Games better than the games that they clone.
Sacred was a Diablo clone, with better classes, graphics, more content, mounts, and an open world.

It came out 3 years after D2 and it's ten times worse. The gameplay is complete ass and not even close to D2 by a mile
>>340673025
Literally superior to Warcraft 3.
Better than AoE2.
>>340673880
I'll do you one better: Literally Warcraft 2 with starcraft hero-missions.
Miles better than Doom

>ITT: Games better than the games that they clone.
Saints Row 2
Not 1 or 3 or 4 of Gat out of Hell. SR2 was really a fluke

Space Marine/GoW.
Perfect Dark

>tfw Sacred 2 was just not the same and Sacred 3 is so shit I refuse to acknowledge its existence
It hurts.

Is Sacred 2 worth finishing ?
I have about 20 hours on it, but I stopped playing a year ago because I couldn't see the end of boring quests.
>>340673025
Speaking of Diablo

Same.
It just doesn't feel like first Sacred did.
>>340674935
Just rush through the main quest.

They are nothing alike though.

Blade and Sword?
It scored pretty bad so I ignored it
If only they hadn't released when wow was already huge.
>>340673025
> better classes
Debatable, more and more complex, but complexity does not equal quality.
> graphics
No, Sacred looked pretty aweful, because its art design was very mediocre and 3D did not look all that good either.
>mounts, and an open world
Mounts were a necessity for a world that big because it was unnecessarily big so that walking those lengths was tedious, heck, riding the paths in the games was tedious as well.
But to the point, an open world is no positive. Not that it is a negative either, but Sacred´s world was really big and not filled with much that made the world fun to explore, so in the end, the big open world was more of a negative for the game, to which mounts were added to alleviate its inherent problems, a bit.

Maybe, but it was not at all like warcraft3 , it was actually a starcraft clone.

>They are nothing alike though.
This seems to be the overarching theme of this thread.
