Ontop of all of that... it's an Actvision game. You know what that means.
It means EVEN if it does manage to somehow get lasting appeal... Activision will make and sell a sequel, or an expansion pack. Dividing the community and killing the game.
This is why LoL, Dota2 are going strong. And why SC2 and it's 3 expo's /standalone whatever are essentially dead.
Overwatch has 0 chance of actually turning into 'the next big thing'.

In a different capacity. We have consoles, but usually we get games so late compared to everyone else that most people who play console games either end up getting the jap version of consoles and games (since you can reach japan in a like hour long flight.), so most people don't play consoles.
Also pcbangs are just so cheap, like ₩5000 for a full 12-16 hours of play in some of the less gigantic ones. nexon arena and that other esports dome are like 1000 an hour but whatever. You go there to see the pros who get paid to play there, and get the fucking delicious food brought to you by them plastic bitches.
So, yeah, we have consoles, they're just an almost nonexistent market. People would rather play for dirt cheap at pcbangs than spend tons of money on a console. Plus most advertising is marketed towards PC games anyway. No major advertisers bother with marketing like major console releases in korea.
