Bayonetta caused some serious problems, mainly because it wasn't anywhere near as expected as the Bloodborne exclusivity. Nintendo hadn't really come out of their "casual console" phase in the general consumer's view, so people hated that it was gonna be on their console.
I think console players are more annoyed by exclusives not being on their platform that PC players are. Imagine if FromSoftware had an Xbox exclusive.

There was precedent for From doing a Sony exclusive title.
In the case of Bayonetta it was a game being removed from the two platforms its fanbase was established on, to a platform neither had any interest in.
Bloodborne's exclusivity is just a meme because its literally the only good game the PS4 has.

Well i actually bought a wii u for bayo 2 because it was at the very least trying to run at 60fps.

On /v/? Definitely Bloodborne, I never saw such buttdevastation and shitposting shitstorm. Up to this day you can't say Bloodborne is the best in the series without someone throwing a tantrum and calling you sonygger.
I think the biggest factor to consider is that Souls games became primarly a PC series, at least most people on /v/ play it on PC so it felt like a treason.
People didn't care much about bayo, plus it was primarly a 360 game and a sequel was unexpected. What booty blasted single platform cucks is that a sequel to a beloved niche game was on a platform that usually doesn't have audience for these kind of games.
