The actual graphic is not at all related to what's happening.

Animation 'hitboxes' are separate from gameplay/damage ones. Gameplay wise, between the legs counts. It's just that the closes animation it can play is hitting the knees. But you need to remember the shot is actually perfectly straight, the animation is just not showing exactly where the shot would have gone.

It's not autoaim. It's that between his legs counts as a hit, the game saw a hit, and that's how it animated the hit graphically.

The bullets coming out of the gun and hitting a target are just a canned animation that plays if the hit conditions are met (which is a hit scan). Many MANY games do this, it's just generally less noticeable.

Left click sprays pretty much exactly like Mei but does not freeze, the longer it is on you the longer you will take DoT acid damage, 1 second gives you like <5 per tick. 10 seconds give you 10-15 extra per tick and never be able to do more than 100 damage across a DoT. Right click releases ooze that increases your speed and slows enemies, stays for a while uses.

The way the 'acid' of his main weapon works is that instead of reloading he refills / reabsorbs all the acid he has released. So basically you can cover a whole point in acid, but have no left or right click ammo untill you 'reabsorb' all the ammo you've expended.

That's pretty much it. I want an Acid character as well as a Pyro, but because of TF2 i doubt the later, i also want more interesting villains. The lore of this game is really interesting but theres so little of it and no itneraction it sucks.

Heal/debuff sniper with a tranq rifle. Overwatch has large hitboxes and the hitscan cone and projectile hitboxes are also huge.

That's better than the hitboxes being misaligned and/or coming totally off the model due to a retarded interpolation system.

That actually could be what's happening; when a hit is detected, the game just renders the tracers to hit the visible model to look good. Similar thing happens in CSGO: bullets technically fire from you head, but the game draws the tracers coming from your gun barrel.

DoTs in general are so annoying to play against in FPS.

Yes because some projectiles like Hanzo arrows stick into things, and if they just stuck where they actually hit they'd be floating in midair because the hitboxes are fridge sized.

You can see the same thing with the huntsman in TF2. The hitbox for heads is much larger than anyone's actual head model so the arrow ends up teleporting half a foot and sticking right in their face so that it doesn't end up floating in midair.
