I don't think the current generation will understand and enjoy those type of games.
It was a blast back in 2009/10/11/12, tons of good and friendly people, no to mention I met few people I talk to this day and we still play some games.
Its not the same l4d with all those mods, skins etc.

I remember a long time ago when L4D2 came out I spent a little time thinking about what I would want out of a third game and I came up with a similar concept.
A group of survivors have to go to an abandoned lab and retrieve a cure, culminating in an epic battle with a special boss zombie "Patient Zero" who I basically envisioned as this giant super zombie with all the abilities of every special zombie in the series and a metric shit ton of health.
